Guide Profile
Carole began her career of freelance photojournalist in Africa, in 1977. Her interest in multiculturalism and her sense of adventure led her to live in various parts of the world, and her accounts of stays with different ethnic groups were published in National Geographic magazine. From 1990 to 2000 she was Reuters News Pictures photo correspondent in Haiti and photographed the political unrest and street battles in Port-au-Prince. Over 25 years of photography, her clients have included the New York Times, the Washington Post, The World Wildlife Fund, The Cousteau Society, Jeune Afrique, Sygma, the Associated Press, New Mexico Magazine, the Albuquerque Journal, the Albuquerque Tribune, and America 24/7, to name a few. Blending her passions for photography and travel, she now leads her own expeditions.
