This retreat is for women who would like to take the next step in expressing their creative vision through photography, whether it be learning new techniques, or perfecting what you already do. Beginning and advanced levels welcome. The retreat, limited to six, will be customized to what each participant wants to learn.
Held at a wonderful private retreat setting, participants can be given space and time to the inner callings of images that heal, from a dream life and soulscapes. You will have many opportunities to photograph in nature at special places on the island, with models in the property's own gardens and pool, and at the ocean. There will be demonstrations and studio time for learning and practicing fascinating new techniques to add to image making, such as Polaroid and Digital Transfers, Emulsion Lifts, Digital Infrared, Photoshop techniques and more...
Plus some stimulating evening discussions, a boat trip to see dolphins and whales, and optional snorkeling at a nearby bay.
"An amazing week that I will never forget. I feel so creatively replenished, and I'm going home with a whole new body of beautiful work. Every day we were presented with authentic Hawaiian experiences and opportunities to photograph so many magical places on the island. It was so much more than I could have even expected. I'll be back!" ---Alba Wejebe
"Thank you so very much for the best work/retreat experience I have ever had... it was truly wonderful. You created an environment that I felt safe to do what I love doing. For the first time in my life, I left calling myself an artist... I had never referred to myself as an "artist" before last week." ---Barbara Bond
