Private sessions can be scheduled for any topic that Kathleen teaches, from beginning to advanced levels. The topics include digital and film photography, digital and Polaroid/Fuji image and emulsion transfers, digital infrared photography, handcoloring, beginning Photoshop, creative tips with Photoshop, photographing the nude in nature, and more. Private sessions will be usually be held in Kathleen's studio in Captain Cook, Hawaii, except for the nude model shoots and custom photo tours. If Kathleen is teaching or traveling, a private session can be arranged for before or after a scheduled workshop in another location.

About the Instructor
Kathleen T. Carr, fine art photographer, author, teacher, has been exhibited widely and published in numerous books and periodicals. She has been teaching photography since 1985. Her books include Polaroid Transfers and Polaroid Manipulations: A Complete Visual Guide to Creating SX-70, Transfer, and Digital Prints, and To Honor the Earth.
Accommodations
If you'd like Hawaii-style accommodations on the beautiful sunny side of the Big Island, stay at Tropical Hideaway in conjunction with a photography private session, workshop, or tour, or just on your own. Accommodations can be provided at Tropical Hideaway, in South Kona for up to three people. An additional charge will apply of $95/night + tax for double occupancy, and $15/night for a third person, and a $60 cleaning fee.

Tropical Hideaway is located on the west side of the "Big Island" of Hawaii about 20 miles south of the town of Kailua-Kona, near the "Painted Church," and two miles from the "Place of Refuge" National Park at Honaunau.
Tropical Hideaway is just three minutes away from fabulous snorkeling, kayaking, diving and dolphin experiences at Honaunau (Two Step), and close to Kealakekua Bay and Ho'okena Bay.

The day rate of $750 includes up to eight hours of instruction and photography. Several days or partial days can be scheduled. A package deal with accommodations at Tropical Hideaway can be added at an additional $95 per night, plus a $60 cleaning fee.

Reservation Policy
Either full payment or a 50% deposit is required to reserve a space. Full payment is required at least 30 days before the beginning of a private session.
Cancellation Policy
If a Private Instruction Session is unavailable or cancelled, your deposit will be returned in full. If you cancel within 30 days before the session begins, you will receive a full refund of monies paid, less a cancellation fee of $25-100 (depending on length of the Session). If you cancel within 7 days before the session begins, you will forfeit one half of the session fee - or your deposit or full payment could be applied towards a future private session, tour, workshop, or retreat. Ask how this could apply in your situation.
