Come to Hawaii and spend a week in the company of other creative women. Professional and fine art photographers Mary Goodrich and Kathleen Carr will host this unique opportunity for women photographers to learn and share their art in a truly unique environment.
In addition to the presentations and discussions, you will take day trips into the heart of Hawaii – from waterfalls and lush botanical gardens, to the mysterious and powerful beauty of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park: the home of volcano Goddess Pele. You will also explore the mysteries of the fine art nude in a private natural setting.
Nourish your artistic soul and have fun while refining your “visualization” skills. Kathleen and Mary will be available to work directly with you on camera and Photoshop techniques that help you find and express your inner vision.

About the Instructor
Kathleen T. Carr is a fine art photographer, author and teacher and received a BFA in photography from Ohio University. She then studied with Minor White, whose work had a strong influence on Kathleen's visual perception and approach to photography. Kathleen's photographs have been exhibited widely and published internationally in numerous books and periodicals, including her books To Honor the Earth (Harper San Francico) Polaroid Transfers and Polaroid Manipulations (Amphoto Books).
The work of Mary Goodrich has been shown nationally and internationally in galleries and museums. The focus of her work has been the nude, the landscape and botanical studies. She works both with digital and film and many of her silver prints are handcolored. Most of her photographic education has come from workshops and a continuing, profound exploration of the arts. Whether her final expression is in black and white, a color transparency, a hand colored silver print, or a three projector multi-image slideshow, Mary’s hallmark is flawless, intuitive composition.
